The Big Picture
Today we heard a knock at the front door and accepted a package from the Fed Ex man. Mom opened it up and inside was my formal picture from my show last week. Mom and Dad decided to keep this one because it's my first big win. Thanks Ms. Debbie for making sure I looked my best!

Our Own Version of "A Christmas Story"
The day started out good for me - lots of snow for me to play in with Dad and I really like that stuff, but mommy was kind of sad because the party she planned for the kids in Newark had to be postponed. She had all kinds of food and dessert for them, and didn't know what to do with it! She was going to make care packages for the neighbors with the really big sheet cake that Aunt Linda made, and had taken a little bit of it for her and dad out of the corner, and then left it on the counter while they took a nap. When she got up, she and dad talked on the phone to Aunt Dee and then she heard me...I thought I'd help her by eating the rest of the cake, but I guess I was making too much noise licking my lips. Then it got really loud, and I was confused because Mom and Dad were both laughing and mad at the same time, I didn't really know what to do! I think it's going to be a long night...(if you look closely, I think you can see my teeth marks...)

My First Shows
Last weekend I participated in my first 3 shows with Ms. Debbie. I had a great time and even won some ribbons! Each day I won a blue ribbon in the "Bred By Exhibitor" group. This meant I was able to compete in the "Winners Dog" competition. On Saturday I won Winners Dog (the purple ribbon) and received my first two points toward my championship. Mom And Dad were so excited. The orange ribbon was a special competition on Friday in which I competed against the Winners Bitch(female) and won! I had so much fun and can't wait till my next show.
Family Hunting Trip
On December 7, 2008 Dad left me and Mom and went with the Jets to the Left coast (San Fran) for the football game (that's Dad's back standing between Shaun Ellis and Mr. Bruce) so Mom and I headed down to Columbia, MD for a day of learning to point birds. Hey Dad, by the looks of that picture it looked a lot warmer there! Of course it turned out to be the coldest day of the year. I was freezing! We left on Saturday and stayed over in the hotel. This was my first hotel stay and mom had to sign a paper that I would promise to be quiet and not break anything! I loved the way they have the two beds right next to each other. I spent a bunch of time just hopping from bed to bed. I did well with finding the birds, but the best part was getting to see my family. My grandma, sister, and many other relatives were there! We got to play around a few times and had a blast! Dad said he and Mr. Favre were talking about me and that I was out pointing birds. Even Mr. Favre said it was a cold day back home to be out in the field, but said I would have fun anyway. I hope Ms. Debbie plans another day like that when it's warmer. In between turns finding birds I sat with mom in the car to keep warm. As you can see by the picture above I would have been alright staying right there. After the bird training I went home with Ms. Debbie for the week. Mom was very sad when she left. I stayed with Ms. Debbie so she could get me ready for my first shows the following weekend.
I Graduated...6 weeks ago!
Hey everyone! I have been very busy over the last six weeks and want to get everyone caught up on what I've been doing. I thought this would be a good place to start. On November 3, 2008 I graduated from kindergarten! I finished at the top of my class. Over the 8 weeks I attended I learned many of the things that Mom and Dad want me to do and now they know how to tell me! I made lots of friends and my teacher Ms. Lilian was great. Above is my report card from my final exam and my diploma. I just started the first grade and it's much harder then kindergarten. Some of my friends came back, and some didn't. Mom always says, knowledge is power!

1st Snow
Hi guys - I am so sorry it has taken me so long to come back and keep everyone up to date on my adventures - mom has been really busy studying for her big test, and Dad has been busy taking care of me and working and going to school! I'm glad her test is done, we get to play a lot more now. These are pictures from my first snow (I was a little confused at first, and Dad had to kind of push me out the door to go to the bathroom), but when I got used to it, I actually had a lot of fun! I wasn't expecting that stuff, since it wasn't even Halloween yet!
(Speaking of Halloween - mom dressed me up, and she's working on getting the scanner working to put in the pictures of me...she thinks I secretly broke it because I'm humiliated at the pictures of me dressed up as a chicken...)
The other pictures are of me today on a hike in the woods that we all took - it was beautiful, and I ran for three hours straight - I had a great time! (I fell right asleep again in the car after, and was snoring!) I was very good and posed nicely for mom and dad so they could get some good pictures of me growing up!
Come back soon and maybe by then mom will have figured out how to totally humiliate me and put the Halloween pictures up - I have to go to bed now, because tomorrow is my graduation from kindergarten! I'm so excited!

What a week! First I went to kindergarten for the first time, and I had so much fun with the other dogs! Mom and Dad were very proud of me; I was very good and behaved myself, and was way better at paying attention than the other puppies :) I also met Delilah, a 14 month old girl vizsla - she was very pretty (I liked her a lot!). Then this week I discovered puddles in the woods for the first time, and got a bunch of baths, which I'm not too fond of. And this morning there were a bunch of deer around, and I kept smelling and hearing them and pointing - this is a picture Dad took of me holding still and listening for them. I usually pick up my right foot, but Dad was slow getting the camera (I held it for three minutes or so...but it didn't occur to Dad to get the camera until I was too tired). Today Dad goes to San Diego with the Jets, and it's another mommy and me weekend. I'm trying to help her study, but I really just want her to play with me...all day!
See you all soon!

I'm not Fat...I'm just Big-Boned
Well, today has been quite a day for me! I went to the vet (Dr. Donna) and I weighed 34.5 pounds!! That's 1o pounds in one month! Mom said she already knew that because she spent all weekend chasing me around while Dad was in Miami with the NY Jets...she made me stay in the house on a beautiful day while she tried to see Dad on TV. (Then we went out and played, so it was OK). Then I lost one of my baby teeth... Mom noticed blood on her arm after me licking her, and when she checked, I'm missing another tooth! Dr. Donna said a lot of my grown-up teeth are already in. And then mom and dad had their first puppy kindergarten class (I didn't go, I get to go next week to meet the other puppies). There will be 4 other puppies, and they're all the same age, so I'm very excited to meet them!
Mom put this picture up because the new joke is that until Cheetah and I can get along, they are going to have to put another window into the side of the house! (I really want to sit there, but she thinks she owns the joint...) We'll check in soon!

School Makes Me Sleepy.
Hello all! No real news here, but just a lot of growing and having fun. Dad has been busy with college work and uses the computer a lot, so I thought I would try to learn, too. I always sit next to him at night and like to rest with my paw on the keyboard so that we're right next to each other. Mom said she's worried she might start to block certain websites for me! Mom is also studying a lot for her boards at night, and we all tend to fall asleep at the same time on the couch. I only fall asleep on top of them, and Mom took this picture of me sleeping right on top of Dad, because she said she couldn't concentrate on her work with the two of us snoring. The cat is slowly getting used to me, but she still gets annoyed when I try to play with her...you can see her coming at me from behind in the picture on top...just when I close my eyes and am not expecting her...she's sneaky like that. (Mom and Dad have actually caught us exchanging some very quick kisses as we pass by each other, but it's rare that that happens without a follow-up swat by her or me!) We start puppy kindergarten next week, and I can't wait to meet the other puppies (even though I still spend hours running around with Simba and Mocha and Panda every day...they even let me play in their tunnel the other day!). I'm going to go back to sleep now, since it is after 9, and that is my strict self-imposed bedtime (I get kind of mad with Mom and Dad when they try to keep me up past then..I've even been known to groan out loud if they make too much noise!) Hope everyone has a good week!

Having A Blast!
Vizsla LIVESTRONG Success!
Thank you to all who took the time to read the previous post. Our team with the help of McCoy, raised over $6000 dollars for the Lance Armstrong Foundation. We had a great day with people participating in the 100 mile, 45 mile and 10 mile bike events and the 5k walk and run. If you know someone affected by cancer have them explore the LAF. Thank you again and McCoy reminds everyone to LIVESTRONG!
NOTE: Our 100 mile biker, Charles, is not pictured. He was still riding!

Vizsla LIVESTRONG!
Hi everybody! I just wanted to let you know that on August 24 my mom and dad will be participating in the LIVESTRONG Challenge Philadelphia. The LIVESTRONG Challenge is the LAF’s signature fundraising event. The walk/run event is 5K and then there are bike events for 10, 40, 70 or 100 miles. The LAF inspires and empowers people affected by cancer. They help people with cancer focus on living; they believe unity is strength, knowledge is power and attitude is everything. Also, the LAF is leading a national movement to make cancer a national priority in the 2008 Presidential race. On April 10, 2007 (before I was around) my dad was diagnosed with Testiclar Cancer. With the help of his family, friends, and doctors dad was able to win his fight against cancer. If you would like to make a donation in support of my dad or learn more, visit dad's LIVESTRONG web page at,

Thanks for reading and talk to you later!

BREAK'N THE LAW!!!!
Today dad said I had way to much energy and needed to get some extra fun time. So we hopped in the car and headed down the road to the trail head at the wildlife refuge. Dad said not to look at the sign and just start walking (see picture above, no dogs). I had a blast! I ran all over the woods. I'm getting really good at leaping over logs and downed trees. After about an hour dad said it was time to go...but I wasn't done. When we got home Aunt Caroline (across the street) was just getting home and I ran to her and begged to play with Simba. Simba and I ran around his back yard at FULL STEAM for another 20 minutes or more! Dad and Aunt Caroline were laughing at us but we didn't care. After that I came home and was pretty much done for the day. All this extra play time today was great. I hope we can do it again tomorrow.

Camp Reunion!
So today was the 50th anniversary of mom's old summer camp, Camp Nejeda in Stillwater, NJ. This camp was a place where mom made some of her best friends still to this day, so into the car we went! After about an hour drive we arrived, and was I excited!!! We didn't even make it away from the car and people were walking over to see me. As we arrived on to the main field of the camp with all of the people, I put on a show! Everyone was petting and loving on me. I just rolled over on my back and an endless stream of people rubbed my belly! Mom and Dad knew I was happy because I had a big smile and my tail was wagging faster then ever! The camp kids LOVED me! After my meet and greet mom, dad, Uncle Mike and Aunt Karen took me on a really long off leash walk through the woods and fields! I was really such a good boy, and I know my family is proud of me :) This was the best ever! I LOVE CAMP! What could be better than tons of friendly people and romping through the woods...oh...wait...napping. Napping is what I've been doing since then, napping and snoring. I was actually lying upside down half-off of the couch with my eyes open for a while, making so much noise people heard me on the phone. I think it's just because I had such a good time today. I can't wait to do it again!

8/8/8
All goes well. I've been hanging out with mom and spent the afternoon getting loved on by Gram (Dad's grandma) yesterday while dad was out of town (with Brett Favre!). Mom and I have been tearing it up! I went to the vet for my check up and shots the other day and was the best dog ever! I weighed in at 24 and 1/2 Lbs! Dr. Donna says I look great! I LOVE the woods! I really like running through the mud and puddles! I have been getting a good bath each day when we return home. Hope all of you are well. Dad is having some camera trouble that he thought was fixed and is not! Please don't be mad at him. He's really trying to get it fixed or get the OK from mom to get a new one! LOL! Till next time.

First Time, Long Time
Sorry to all the fans of McCoy the Vizsla for the lack of posts over the last 2 weeks. McCoy would like to report that he is doing GREAT! Mom and Dad have had a lack of free computer time because Mr. McCoy would much rather be playing and running around outside then letting us type on the computer. The only reason Dad is typing right now is because he is sleeping on my shoulder. All else is well and we hope to have some new pictures either today or tomorrow. Thanks for checking in and check back later for a more complete post.

July 16 Fireworks!
Yesterday dad and I spent the day getting ready for the annual fireworks picnic we have. Every July 16 there is a huge fireworks show down in town. Since our street is up on the hill we have a great big picnic with our friends and family. I was so excited... my first party! I was very helpful and behaved very well and then all my favorite people came over to see me (and to spoil me and bring me new toys!) I was excellent the whole night and didn't beg for food at all...and I even slept all the way through the whole fireworks show on Dad's lap!
I had a great time, and I think Mom and Dad should have picnics more often (more picnics means more people to run around with me)!

At Work with Dad!
Yesterday I got to go to work with Dad all day, and visit the helicopter! My dad is a flight paramedic on the big helicopter. I met some of the people he works with and got to play with all of them. I had a great day, and Dad was able to spend most of the day with me in between flights. Then Mom drove out to pick me up and have dinner with us. I wasn't even scared of the noise from the helicopter when dad landed! (Mom held on to me tightly!) I can't wait to go back and play with Mr. Cheese and Matty Mo! (They called me Airdog2...)
I don't think I can go to work with Mom yet...
