The Big Picture

Today we heard a knock at the front door and accepted a package from the Fed Ex man. Mom opened it up and inside was my formal picture from my show last week. Mom and Dad decided to keep this one because it's my first big win. Thanks Ms. Debbie for making sure I looked my best!

Our Own Version of "A Christmas Story"

The day started out good for me - lots of snow for me to play in with Dad and I really like that stuff, but mommy was kind of sad because the party she planned for the kids in Newark had to be postponed. She had all kinds of food and dessert for them, and didn't know what to do with it! She was going to make care packages for the neighbors with the really big sheet cake that Aunt Linda made, and had taken a little bit of it for her and dad out of the corner, and then left it on the counter while they took a nap. When she got up, she and dad talked on the phone to Aunt Dee and then she heard me...I thought I'd help her by eating the rest of the cake, but I guess I was making too much noise licking my lips. Then it got really loud, and I was confused because Mom and Dad were both laughing and mad at the same time, I didn't really know what to do! I think it's going to be a long night...(if you look closely, I think you can see my teeth marks...)

My First Shows

Last weekend I participated in my first 3 shows with Ms. Debbie. I had a great time and even won some ribbons! Each day I won a blue ribbon in the "Bred By Exhibitor" group. This meant I was able to compete in the "Winners Dog" competition. On Saturday I won Winners Dog (the purple ribbon) and received my first two points toward my championship. Mom And Dad were so excited. The orange ribbon was a special competition on Friday in which I competed against the Winners Bitch(female) and won! I had so much fun and can't wait till my next show.

Family Hunting Trip

On December 7, 2008 Dad left me and Mom and went with the Jets to the Left coast (San Fran) for the football game (that's Dad's back standing between Shaun Ellis and Mr. Bruce) so Mom and I headed down to Columbia, MD for a day of learning to point birds. Hey Dad, by the looks of that picture it looked a lot warmer there! Of course it turned out to be the coldest day of the year. I was freezing! We left on Saturday and stayed over in the hotel. This was my first hotel stay and mom had to sign a paper that I would promise to be quiet and not break anything! I loved the way they have the two beds right next to each other. I spent a bunch of time just hopping from bed to bed. I did well with finding the birds, but the best part was getting to see my family. My grandma, sister, and many other relatives were there! We got to play around a few times and had a blast! Dad said he and Mr. Favre were talking about me and that I was out pointing birds. Even Mr. Favre said it was a cold day back home to be out in the field, but said I would have fun anyway. I hope Ms. Debbie plans another day like that when it's warmer. In between turns finding birds I sat with mom in the car to keep warm. As you can see by the picture above I would have been alright staying right there. After the bird training I went home with Ms. Debbie for the week. Mom was very sad when she left. I stayed with Ms. Debbie so she could get me ready for my first shows the following weekend.

I Graduated...6 weeks ago!

Hey everyone! I have been very busy over the last six weeks and want to get everyone caught up on what I've been doing. I thought this would be a good place to start. On November 3, 2008 I graduated from kindergarten! I finished at the top of my class. Over the 8 weeks I attended I learned many of the things that Mom and Dad want me to do and now they know how to tell me! I made lots of friends and my teacher Ms. Lilian was great. Above is my report card from my final exam and my diploma. I just started the first grade and it's much harder then kindergarten. Some of my friends came back, and some didn't. Mom always says, knowledge is power!
