McCoy Reflects!!!

These pictures were taken today along the banks of the Passaic River in Longhill Twp. NJ. They seem to have gotten some attention in the Facebook world on Ms. Debbie's page, so dad thought he would post them here also. Enjoy!!!

Life After Cesar

Ok, time to get my head out of the clouds and back to the normal life of being a vizsla. On the way home from meeting Cesar mom and dad called Uncle Robbie, who lives on the lower east side of NYC to see if he was around so we could say hello. Uncle Robbie thought it would be fun to go to the dog park at Washington Square Park. What a day! When we got to the park I made friends with all the other dogs and had a great time. My BFF was the little dog in the picture above. He and I ran around as fast as we could. I never thought a city dog with such stubby legs could be so fast! After the park we all took a stroll through the city. It was neat to see so many people. This was my first time in NYC and I think it is a nice place to visit, but I still love the burbs! I know that Bristow lives around here somewhere? I saw this subway entrance and thought If I take the orange one I could find her! Mom said we had to go back home to Jersey. Oh well, it was a great day!

I met Cesar!

Ok, so today Dad decided it would be fun to have a family day and go for a ride in the car. He had heard that Cesar "The Dog Whisperer" Millan was going to be at an event for the North Shore Animal League on Long Island , NY. We left the house and off we went! It took about an hour and we arrived to a street fair like atmosphere. There were two lines of people, one to see the dogs that needed a home and a smaller one to meet Cesar.  We asked a few people and they informed us that Cesar had been signing "stuff" that people had brought with them a few minuets before we arrived. So we got in line outside of the VIP tent where he was having lunch with some very lucky people. The next thing we know Cesar walked right by! Dad said "hey Cesar, look at the "vicious vizsla," referring to an episode of his TV show where a lady was blaming the nice vizsla for her dogs poor behavior. Cesar looked at me and said hello as he walked by! A few minutes later he came back into the tent and disappeared for about 40 min. After his VIP lunch, he was escorted by his security guards to another area behind a building. Mom had started to lose a bit of faith. I had fun with all the people coming over to see me and the kids petting me. I was a hit! Dad continued to gather intel on Cesar's position and all of a sudden Dad saw movement on the side of the building and signaled me and Mom to head that way. There he was, the guy from TV surrounded by 15 security guards! Dad said "hey Cesar, how about a picture with the vizsla?" Cesar waved his hand for us to come his way and told the security guards to let us through. Mom helped get me in position and Cesar held me for my big photo op! The result is above!

Best Vizsla Birthday Ever!

Above are some pictures from my birthday! It was a great day. Dad and I played with my soccer ball and Simba and I had fun running around his yard! When mom came home we grilled outside and then mom and dad surprised me with a cake! I got some new toys including "Copter" the stuffed helicopter from Aunt Linda! It was a great day. I wish everyday was my birthday!

Helicopter = Hot Dogs!

So Dad got called into work on Easter and spent the day flying in the helicopter. That meant it was me and Mom going to Aunt Linda's house to see the rest of the family. Well, since the hospital is only a few miles up the road from Aunt Linda's house, Dad thought it would be funny to have Mr. Jones, the pilot circle over the house a few times to shake things up after one of their medevac flights . When everyone heard the helicopter and went to the front porch, I ran to the kitchen! I was able to eat about 15 pigs in a blanket before anyone realized I was gone! My belly was really full and distended! I took a nice nap and enjoyed the rest of the day. I look forward to the next holiday and trying to get my paws on more of those vizsla sized hot dogs!

More Awards and an Update

So here is a quick update about what's been going on. While I was with Ms. Debbie in Maryland, Mom and Dad went to Kentucky and found me a new home! It's really BIG and I can't wait to run all over and leave my mark. The backyard is on the 16th fairway of a golf course and Mom and dad said that before we move they are having a nice fence installed so I don't steal all of the golf balls!
After that trip Dad and Grandma Elaine took a trip to Ireland for a week. Dad said I couldn't go and that I had to take care of Mom. That week was so much fun spending time with Mom, but I sure did miss Dad.
Tonight was my pre-novice obedience test. Mom has been working me very hard over the last few days to make sure that I am focused and ready. Well the good news is that I passed and received my ribbon and certificate! The good news for Ms. Debbie is that I lost points because I don't sit when I am supposed to! All my classmates passed and we each got a new toy! Even Grandpa Mike, Aunt Linda and Mr. Chuck came tonight to watch me. I really want to thank them for coming.
